What are the Materials and formats for custom tape?
The tapes that can be printed on are PVC or Polypropylene, in a range of 25 to 35 microns thick and there are up to three base colour options to choose from: light brown, white or transparent. There are different roll widths available (24, 36, 48 or 72 mm) and lengths (66, 132 or 1056 mm). For other lengths it is highly likely to be on different cores to the standard 76mm. We can also perforate the tape, so that it acts as a label.
For an eco-friendlier approach paper tape can be printed on, in 95 microns thick. Only one base colour option of brown. There are different roll widths available (50 or 75mm) on a 76mm core.
The quantity per box will vary depending on the measurements you choose for your personalised tape.
How can I customise packaging tape?
Each format can be personalised with block printing (Plates) (Flexographic) in 1, 2, 3 or 4 (up to 3 on paper) colours from a wide choice (referred to by their corresponding Pantone codes). Once you have selected your preferred materials and dimensions, the most important aspect of producing custom parcel tape for your business is adding your logo or message to really stand out and make your packaging truly individual. We require a PDF format artwork or can offer an artwork design service.

We can print up to 4 colours on our tape.
Q) What different types – grades of tape are available to be “personalised” – Custom Printed on?
Different tapes we have available to be printed on include;
- PPH – Polypropylene Tape with Hot Melt Synthetic Rubber Adhesive – Good all-round tape recommended for general packaging (carton taping) applications & or use on recycled cartons.
- PPA – Polypropylene Tape with Acrylic Adhesive – Recommended for cold storage applications as well as general carton sealing applications.
- PVC – PVC Tape with a Natural Rubber Adhesive – Recommended for cartons weighing over 25kg & / or recycled carton packaging.
- Paper Tape with a Hot Melt Adhesive – Recommended for eco-friendly packaging.
Q) What can we print on rolls of Custom Print Packing Tape?
With Personalised Custom Printed Packing Tape, you can print company logo’s, company contact details (address, phone, e-mail, website), QR codes, bar codes, Promotional info, product info ,etc.
Q) What is classed as a reverse print
A reverse print is when an image or text is shown as a silhouette.

Messages / print length on Custom Printed Logo Tape is max 502mm.
Q) Can any colour be printed on our custom tape?
Yes, we can print any colour as long as the Pantone colour is specified, if the colour you require is an exotic not commonly used colour, or a small order of tape, there may be an additional charge.
Q) How do you want your Custom Printed Packing Tape to unwind from the roll?
Unless specified your message / logo roll of tape will unwind from the left (3). If you require your printed tape job to be unwound differently please let us know. (you also have a chance to confirm how you want your print job to unwind when you receive your artwork proof)
Q) What is the minimum Qty we can order? How much should we order?
We ask for a minimum of 4 cartons of Custom Printed Tape. There is still the same time involved in getting the printing “set up” ready for production. So, it is more cost effective to order more tape in one go, than to order in “dribs & drabs”.

The standard sizes and rolls per carton of Custom Print Packaging Tape is;
- 24mm wide – 72rolls per ctn

Preferred artwork for Custom Print Tape jobs is;
- Illustrator/EPS format
- High resolution PDF
Q) Do I get to see a proof of my Custom Printed Logo Tape Order before it goes into production?
Yes, you receive an artwork proof of your printed tape job, if approved, your order gets slotted in for production. if you need to make changes, please advise what needs to be done, and another artwork proof will be issued.
Q) When I received my artwork proof, the colours look different on the screen than what I requested?
If you have specified a Pantone reference colour, do not worry, it will arrive as that colour. Please remember that everyone has different screen resolutions on their computer.
Q) What is the process, way things happen when I place an order for my customised packaging tape?
- – Place an order, supply us with an artwork file.
- – You will receive an artwork proof. Once you have approved your artwork (no further changes need to be made), your logo tape order is slotted into production.
- – 3 – 4 weeks later, your Custom Printed Tape will be ready for delivery
Q) How do I pay?
For custom projects we ask for payment on Proforma basis. We accept credit or debit card payments over the phone as well as bank transfers. There is a manufacturing tolerance when it comes to bespoke packaging, so we me may come back to you for the difference or likewise refund you the difference.
